On Saturday, July 5th, about 4 p.m. a burglary-in-process was interrupted by the homeowner and LAPD at 1273X Woodley near Nanette (Knollwood Associates area). The homeowner arrived home to find a male Hispanic aprox 5'5" to 5'9" attempting to pry open her rear sliding door.
The homeowner telephoned LAPD and a nearby squad car responded within minutes, along with an LAPD helicopter. Suspect fled in what is believed to be a 2-door red "small car" with the last 2 digits of the license plate believed to be "xxxx65". Suspect was not apprehended.
Residents are asked to be on the alert for this vehicle.
